These days social media is where it’s at with 22% of our online time devoted exclusively to being social and 75% of U.S households using social networking. But just because you’re socializing, doesn’t mean you’re relevant. How do you measure your company’s relevance in the social network circuits? Here are 8 social media measuring tools that will give you insight into how you’re doing.

    Bonus Social Media Tool: Hootsuite! This social media tool is integrated with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Foursquare. It’s also integrated with Google Analytics and Facebook metrics for reporting. You can also share the account with multiple editors, pre-schedule posts, and assign follow up for specific posts to certain people. You can set up columns for specific searches or keyword terms. It’s free for individuals but you have to pay for multiple shared accounts. Also has a mobile version. One sweet owl.

    Nice post. In a world gone social media mad and the barriers to entry so low for these services, it is tough to keep up on who does what and what the actual value is for using these tools. What would be really great is a follow up blog post on how these tools have been used (e.g., case study) or how they can be hypothetically integrated into one’s marketing toolkit. Create some scenarios, then go through the process of selecting your tools.
