Challenge
The CVB needed an interactive mapping tool that could create customized maps for would-be event planners and they needed it yesterday. The Bureau's graphic design department could not keep pace with the steady flow of customized maps that were required as part of every CVB proposal. The backlog of requests was costing the CVB thousands of dollars in missed opportunities.
Solution
After extensive discovery, we laid out a strategy to integrate with the CVB's membership database for real-time information processing. By tying the interactive mapping application into their internal member database, CVB staff could easily create precise maps catered to their proposal. In seconds, they could select the points and businesses of interests from their custom back-end tool and have print quality, high-resolution maps to accompany their proposals.
Result
Not only did the CVB topple the backlog of requests for proposals, in a few months they were creating twice as many proposals with half the staff. And they were doing it in a fraction of the time it previously required.
