the challenge

Harmonie Park Entertainment Group wanted to launch its newest R & B artist, Paul Hill, and they wanted to do it quickly. They wanted to present Hill to the music industry in a way that would get them excited about this new artist. With no time to shoot new footage, atLarge had to come up with a show-stopping multimedia piece that would create a viable buzz within the industry.

the solution

Our design team poured through thousands of publicity photo proof sheets to capture the most compelling images of the artist. Utilizing flash technology, our technical team created the look of an old-time film reel, splicing two of the artist's songs to create a provocative marketing piece. The technology team then worked to package the piece as an interactive e-mail that was strategically distributed to some of the most influential names in the music industry.

the result

We built a defiant buzz around Paul Hill who was virtually unheard of before. He gained appearances on television and radio shows shortly after the multimedia piece was distributed, giving him instant fame within Detroit's thriving music scene.
