Andrea has been teaching herself code since she was 14. She began as a graphic designer, graduating from the Ringling College of Art & Design, and received her MA in Motion Media Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She currently works as the Senior UI/UX Creative Strategist at atLarge and previously worked for Ringling College of Art & Design and SRQ Magazine. She is also the founder of the Tampa Bay chapter of Girl Develop It, a nonprofit that provides affordable and judgment-free opportunities for women interested in learning web and software development. She frequently takes on speaking engagements educating young audiences about the capabilities of code. In her spare time, she plays roller derby, scuba dives, and enjoys anything in pop culture.
