Sun wanted to bring these services directly to the customers within its digital presence while providing greater support to its distributors. They were dealing with an antiquated digital system which resulted in low functionality and a complicated user experience. Not only were years of accumulated information slowing load and response times, the content itself started to become confusing and Sun Hydraulics had little control over making improvements. The site was integrated with in-house systems that also automated manufacturing processes, shrinking response times from almost 10 seconds to under 1 second. A NEW DIGITAL PRODUCT EXPERIENCE.
One of these expansions came when Sun developed a custom piece of hardware that allowed users to configure its functionality and read diagnostic data through Bluetooth. Our team collaborated with Sun to confront the challenge of developing the industry-tailored hardware and envelope it with a user-friendly application. As development finished, it was named XMD Mobile. As a result, in partnership with Sun, we created an industry-informed, intuitive mobile tool that reinvented the user interface for configuring hydraulic valves and became a revolutionary product in Sun Hydraulics’ industry.
