Disney On Ice, operated by Feld Entertainment, transforms iconic Disney stories into captivating ice skating performances. This beloved event year-round, touring not just across the United States and Canada, but also reaching international audiences in over 42 countries.

At its core, Disney On Ice thrives on engaging families and Disney enthusiasts, driving ticket sales worldwide. With an impressive capability to attract attention, the project aimed to make Disney magic more accessible and foster growth.

Key to this initiative was the launch of a new geolocated, multilingual web platform. This platform was specifically designed to enhance user experience, guiding them effortlessly from the moment of discovery to the final step of purchasing tickets, thereby aiming to boost attendance and revenue.

Creating a scalable website is a challenge. Creating a scalable website for 42 countries capable of navigating a complex web of international markets, each with its own language, cultural nuances, and expectations is slightly more challenging. But that’s what gets us out of bed.

The project needed to address the intricacies of presenting up-to-date show information, ticket availability, and localized content while integrating seamlessly with an existing, constantly evolving database - all without overwhelming users or compromising navigability.

This required a design strategy that emphasized simplicity and user engagement. From the moment users arrive on the site, they are greeted with information about the nearest show, including dates and a streamlined process to purchase tickets.

LOCALIZATION & GEOLOCATION SERVICES

The key to personalizing the user experience lay in our implementation of sophisticated geolocation services. These services automatically detect a user's location, adjusting the site content to display in the user's native language and currency.

This process was carefully integrated with Disney's current databases to ensure that show information was consistently accurate and up-to-date.
